This lovely book collage is now in my daughter's collection. It's called Shadow of my Former Self, and it was an absolute joy to make. It's fun when art just flows.
This 30x40 painting is called Wallflower. Like the blush of her dress, the victorian meaning of the peonies in the wallpaper is 'bashful'.
This 30x40 painting is called Excess is Dangerous, which is the victorian meaning for the saffron flower, seen in the lower third of the composition. Look for other symbols in the painting to reflect that overall message.
I participated in a nesting doll exchange several years back. We each made a set, and sent it to the group leader, who sent us back a mixed collection from the artists who participated. This was the grouping that I made - clearly, birds have been a long time love.
My fav mixed media piece I've ever done. Sometimes you create art and it just flows from some mysterious source - this was one of those occasions. Fortunately, it's in my sketchbook, so it will forever be mine.
Mystery art project afoot. (Happy inner Jana dance goes here) ##happyart #artisweird #epoxyclay
I found a Virgil Abloh rug at a second hand store!! I’m currently renovating my art studio and it will go wonderfully in there. #ikearug #virgilabloh #artliveshere
This plant life study just seemed to flow out of me. I didn't even know I was capable of this. What a great feeling. I like it so much that I think I'm going to try and recreate some of it in encaustic. #botanicillustration #findyourflow #sketchbookrevival
This lovely little Eurasian Blue Tit was a joy to paint. I just love birds and should really be making more of them. Hopefully, there will be many more showing up here! This little guy was painted with acrylics on paper, in my sketchbook. #eurasianbluetit...
